“I paint the sunlight as it falls upon the slopes and stone buildings of Jerusalem, creating a mosaic of colors and shapes. The houses of worship of three religions exist side byside, interconnected by a web of domestic buildings, both ancient and modern. The light and stone form a geometric pattern that envelopes the whole of the city and creates a stage for the human drama that unfolds here every day.” - Avner Moriah
